    ECL

AI answers that cite their sources, because every entity is linked to validated context.

Overview

ECL is our Entity-Context-Linking capability. It connects each entity that matters, a person, product, policy or record, to the validated context around it in the semantic knowledge graph (SKG). Assistants and copilots built on ECL answer from that linked knowledge and cite where every answer came from, instead of guessing from open text.

The Challenge

Assistants that answer from open text retrieve lookalike words and miss the entity the question is about. The answer about the wrong policy reads exactly as confidently as the right one, and neither can cite its source. Regulated workflows cannot accept that, so assistants stay stuck in low-stakes demos while the high-value questions keep going to humans. Urgency usually arrives with an audit or a regulated launch, when an assistant that cannot cite its sources turns from an annoyance into a blocker.

What We Deliver

  • Entity identification and linking. ECL identifies the entities that matter in your domain and links each one to its validated context in the graph: the policy to its current version and owner, the product to its specifications, the record to its lineage.
  • Context-assembled answers. Assistants and copilots assemble answers from linked context rather than raw retrieval, traversing relationships across entities when the question demands it.
  • Review over guessing. When entity resolution is ambiguous, ECL flags the match for review instead of guessing.
  • Cited, governed outputs. Every answer carries citations back to governed sources.
  • Fewer hallucinations. Generation anchored to the right entity reduces hallucinations.
  • Review as a source check. Review becomes a check of sources rather than a leap of faith.

How ECL Works

Linking entities to validated context turns retrieval from text similarity into meaning lookup. That is the difference between an answer that sounds right and an answer that can prove it.

Grounding for copilots and assistants

Fewer hallucinations, anchored to the right entity

Trusted enterprise knowledge

ECL in Action

A leading biopharma research organization. ECL powered a natural-language assistant that answers questions over an entity-linked graph of proteins, genes, drugs, and diseases. The client reported:

01

50% faster research data retrieval

02

30% higher researcher productivity

03

Citations on every answer

Why Accion

Grounded in Semantic Engineering

Linking runs inside the governed graph, so context is validated before an answer uses it.

Citations by construction

Answers trace to governed sources because they are assembled from them.

Built to ground your assistants

ECL adds grounding to copilots and assistants across the stack.

Anchored generation

Output locks to the resolved entity, never to lookalike text.

Pairs with SKG

ECL is the linking capability inside SKG, Accion's semantic knowledge graph layer.

Built for compliance

ECL elevates AI performance in heavily regulated environments, with visibility and traceability built-in.

Get answers grounded in linked context, with a citation every time.

FAQs

ECL is Accion Labs' Entity-Context-Linking capability. It links each entity, a person, product, policy or record, to its validated context in the knowledge graph, so assistants answer from trusted knowledge with citations.

RAG retrieves chunks of text that look similar to the question. ECL resolves the entities in the question and answers from the validated context linked to them in the graph. Because the entity is resolved first, the answer cites the governed source it came from. Open-source graph RAG builds its graph by automatic extraction; ECL links to a governed graph with named owners, so citations point at sources someone answers for.

SKG is the governed graph layer; ECL is the capability that links entities to context within it. SKG holds the meaning. ECL connects answers to it.
