Technical Delivery Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional software engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
- Plan, track, and oversee multiple concurrent project workstreams to ensure adherence to delivery schedules, quality standards, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical delivery plans.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on project requirements, technical skill sets, and workload considerations.
- Monitor project progress, identify delivery risks and issues, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Review technical designs, development work, and testing outcomes to ensure alignment with established engineering and quality standards.
- Support recruitment activities by participating in technical interviews, evaluating candidate qualifications, and assisting with the onboarding of new team members.
- Mentor engineers and technical leads through regular feedback, coaching, and performance discussions.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure appropriate testing coverage, quality validation, and release readiness.
- Facilitate Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to coordinate project deliverables, dependencies, and integration activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements for healthcare and insurance technology solutions.
- Prepare and present project delivery status updates, performance metrics, and reports to internal and client stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing delivery efficiency, software quality, and team productivity.
- Utilize technologies and tools including JIRA, Java, SQL, AWS, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, SAP WebAS, SAP NetWeaver, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, any Engineering field, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant progressive experience, including at least 3 years of experience in IT project management; OR
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, any Engineering field, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in IT project management.
