As a result of the collaboration, Veracode will extend its ability to deliver high-quality, next-generation security solutions by leveraging expanded global support in the talent-rich tech community in Prague, Czech Republic.
We are looking for a UI Senior Software Engineer who has a full stack development background and experience building reusable UI components in an Agile environment. You will collaborate with development teams, product managers and architects to achieve business objectives and deliver components that our teams will utilize to empower the UIs they develop.
You have experience aligning technical direction, tools, and techniques with forward-looking business needs and technical strategy. You have in-depth knowledge and expertise to help achieve business objectives and drive positive customer outcomes.
You can manage strategic initiatives and projects while also teaching and mentoring individual contributors, and teams in the organization contributing to a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
You will work as part of a self-empowered autonomous devops team focused on continuous improvement, quality and speed in delivering innovative, market differentiating products and solutions to our customers.
Key Aspects of Role
- Collaborate with other Engineers to drive the development of a modern user interface layer
- Document standards and develop proof of concept prototypes for advanced features
- Mentors’ others to accelerate their career growth and encourages a culture of continuous learning
- Challenges the team processes, looking for ways to improve them. Makes an impact not only on their team, but also on other teams in the organization
- Creates a culture of collaboration within their team but also with external teams. Strong sense of ownership and accountability for driving results across the team
- Provide technical guidance to all development teams regarding UI best practices and patterns
- Continuously evaluate, design, and improve the software development and delivery process for the UI infrastructure and components
- Technical leader working with the team to help remove blockers and act as a tie breaker
Required Skills:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, and 5 years relevant industry experience
- A solid understanding of the HTML DOM and underlying event model
- Experience working in large scale JavaScript applications
- Experience working with React/Redux
- Understanding of design patterns to effectively leverage CDNs
- Experience working with modern package managers (npm, bundler, pip etc.) and build systems (Gradle, Make etc.)
- Solid coaching, mentorship, and technical leadership to help others grow
- Advanced critical thinking and problem solving on complex issues and customer concerns
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate highly complex technical concepts
- Demonstrate high level of empathy with internal colleagues, stakeholders, and customers
- Full stack development experience
Desired Skills
- Experience working in an XP/Lean Agile environment
- Knowledge of user interface models, application design, and website functionality
